THIS ROLE
If you're driven to make unique games in Unreal and thrive leading development teams, we're looking for you. We're seeking a smart, talented individual to implement the technical vision for our upcoming survival horror game. As a Lead Unreal Engineer you'll take ownership of engineering aspects of the full development cycle and lead a team of extremely talented peers. You'll be responsible for source control, development environments, pipelines, automation, and making sure we maintain the highest standards for quality and engineering best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Define engineering best practices
• Lead and mentor teams of engineers
• Collaborate with design, art, and production teams to define and prioritize roadmap
• Maintain hands-on involvement in the art creation process
• Work closely with game designers to ensure seamless integration of art assets
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years as a Lead Engineer or 5+ as Senior Engineer creating unique 3D experiences
• Significant proficiency in Unreal 4, UE5 is a huge plus
• Experience leading agile development teams
• Effective at cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to assess tech risks and communicate mitigations to non-tech leaders
• Strong grasp of how to build highly realistic games, including lighting and shaders
• Expert C++ developer
• Passion for making games people love
