THIS ROLE
Are you a skilled 3D Character Modeler with a flair for creativity and a fascination with the unknown? Join the Quintessence Games team as an integral member, playing a crucial role in shaping the visual identity of our upcoming survival horror game. As a 3D Character Modeler, you will be the driving force behind crafting immersive characters and creatures, breathing life into our game world and contributing to the compelling narrative we're creating.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and establish the visual aesthetic for characters in the survival horror game.
• Collaborate with fellow artists on the team to create high fidelity character assets.
• Partner with design teams to transform abstract concepts into detailed visual character assets.
• Maintain an active role in crafting character models throughout the art production cycle.
• Collaborate intimately with game designers to seamlessly integrate character art into the gameplay experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of experience as a skilled 3D Character Modeler or 5+ years as a Lead Artist specializing in photorealistic character projects.
• Profound expertise in crafting intricate and captivating character designs.
• Proven track record in managing character art production schedules and adapting to changing priorities.
• Adept at collaborative work across diverse teams and departments.
• Thorough understanding of lighting and color theory, particularly in the context of character designs set in dark environments.
• Keen eye for proportions, scale, and spatial awareness in character modeling.
• In-depth awareness of the impact of character design on gameplay dynamics.
• Advanced proficiency with industry-standard software such as Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, and Substance.
• Demonstrated experience working with contemporary game engines and pipelines; familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 is a plus.
• Exceptional time management skills that reflect both reliability and efficiency.
• Passionate commitment to creating captivating and immersive gaming experiences.
